Material Planner
Responsible for material planning, building inventory balance, releasing purchase requests, and monitoring depletion, reducing aged inventory levels.
Representative duties include:
Preparing raw material reserve planning
Releasing material purchase requisitions and following up on their execution
Arranging raw material arrival schedules according to production schedules and monitoring inventory levels to maintain turnover day balance
Monitoring raw material depletion in compliance with First In First Out, pushing aged raw material consumption
Reviewing sales orders to determine if raw materials can meet demand
Organizing engineering material changes when necessary
Ensuring daily work complies with work instructions and reaching Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Handling emergencies, such as urgent procurement and disqualified batches
Other duties as assigned

Job requirements include:
Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and/or Mandarin
Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers
Experience:
Major in supply chain
1 year experience with supply chain (inventory planning, scheduling & procurement) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Education: Bachelor degree or above from an accredited college
Physical condition: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and/or typed material and having the ability to stay focused. Adaptive to high stress environment.
Other requirements:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft software
Prefer knowledge of PLEX/SAP/Oracle MRP function
Knowledge, skills, and abilities utilized on the job:
Professional knowledge, skills - good sense of data, dedicated to data analysis, ability to multitask and prioritize
Excellent planning ability
Experience working with large data sets
Understand procurement process, logistic concept
Must be able to possess a high level of confidentiality knowledge and skills
Training required:
Fuyao internal manufacture workflow
Fuyao policy/management/safety manual
Supply chain/Material Planning strategy

Work environment: Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses and steel-toed work boots when visiting the production line.

Turnover Days of Inventory Components for Class B/C/D material planner only
Cutting rate of float glass (Tempering/Lamination/ARG) for Class A (float glass) material planner only
Obsolete Inventory rate general for all material planner
Purchasing on time delivery rate general for all material planner
Purchase Orders Close On Time general for all material planner
Fulfill Rate general for all material planner
CIP Proposal general for all material planner
