The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing and auditing all hotel transactions while providing exceptional guest service during the overnight shift. This role ensures the accuracy of guest accounts, prepares reports for management, and maintains a secure, welcoming environment throughout the night. The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while upholding the DoubleTree's high standards of quality and service.
Essential Job Functions

Greet all guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor. Assist with check-in and check-out processes as needed.
Accurately post and reconcile guest room charges, taxes, and departmental revenues.
Verify, balance, and audit all cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.
Prepare and distribute daily financial reports and summaries for management review.
Resolve guest concerns or billing discrepancies with courtesy and professionalism, escalating complex issues to management when appropriate.
Ensure the safety and security of guests and property by monitoring the lobby and entrance areas and following all emergency and safety protocols.
Answer and direct incoming calls in a professional manner; take messages and deliver guest requests promptly.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby during the overnight hours.
Assist other departments, including housekeeping or maintenance, when operational needs arise.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and brand standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or accounting coursework preferred.
Previous hospitality, accounting, or front desk experience preferred.
Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency with computer systems; ability to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations accurately.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver courteous service to guests and coworkers alike.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work overnight with minimal supervision and remain alert and professional during all hours.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and respond to signs of emergency situations.
