SolarTech is hiring a licensed Journeyman Electrician to support our growing residential solar and battery installation team. We offer steady work, strong benefits, and a team-first culture focused on quality, safety, and getting the job done right.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and connect solar PV and battery storage systems (ESS)
* Perform and lead Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs) including service replacements, derates, and panel relocations
* Complete subpanel installations, service tie-ins, and load-side connections
* Read and execute from electrical plans and single-line diagrams
* Run and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, flexible) to code
* Troubleshoot, test, and commission systems
* Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local codes
* Support inspections and coordinate with AHJs
* Mentor installers and maintain a safe, efficient job site
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or relevant certifications a plus.
* 2+ years of experience in solar panel installation required
* Familiarity with hand and power tools, conduit bending, and safe ladder use45.
* Ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions, including heat and confined spaces5.
* Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work on your feet for extended periods5.
* Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record required5.
* OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certificate preferred.
* Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
