Overview
The Diagnostic Imaging Manager at Northwest Houston Diagnostic Imaging Center is responsible for managing all aspects of a specific assigned imaging modality within [Department information not provided]. Responsibilities

Personnel Leadership & Management
Provide administrative oversight of the department in consultation with the Section Chief, Director of Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Operations, Administrative Director, and/or Department Chair
Develop strategic plans for patient care operations, resource allocation, facility utilization, and annual departmental goals
Demonstrate and communicate understanding of institutional and divisional missions, strategic goals, policies, and procedures
Model core values and promote teamwork across the department
Translate division strategic plans, operating budgets, and institutional goals into actionable team objectives
Delegate implementation of tactics to supervisors and ensure staff understand their role in achieving service goals
Manage departmental resources within budgetary guidelines
Develop staffing plans, initiate recruitment needs, and review vacant budgeted positions for necessity
Staffing, Scheduling & Performance
Adjust schedule capacity as needed to meet operational demand
Develop and maintain scheduling templates aligned with hours of operation, staffing plans, procedure times, and service demand
Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, competency assessment, and ongoing staff development
Delegate daily operational management to supervisory or staff levels as appropriate and ensure task completion
Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations and merit recommendations
Review merit ratings for appropriate distribution
Provide coaching, counseling, and remedial training to support staff success and engagement
Patient Care & Service Excellence
Establish expectations for excellent patient care and patient satisfaction standards
Ensure efficient patient throughput and timely completion of procedures
Promote high levels of customer service across all imaging services
Compliance, Quality & Safety
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agency rules and regulations
Ensure consistent application of departmental, divisional, and institutional policies
Monitor supervisory consistency and provide direction and coaching as needed
Ensure staff compliance with licensure, CPR, annual education, and in-service requirements
Conduct periodic audits to verify compliance
Perform annual charge master review and develop procedure charge structures in compliance with coding and reimbursement regulations
Achieve and maintain accreditation standards for assigned imaging modalities
Participate in continuous quality improvement, quality assurance, and safety initiatives
Promote a culture of safety, quality, efficiency, and high service standards
Communication & Administration
Conduct staff meetings to communicate departmental, divisional, and institutional information
Facilitate effective communication and encourage staff input
Collaborate with other departments and clinics to build relationships and set expectations
Prepare reports as required
Perform other related duties as assigned
Education
Required: Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Hospital Administration or a related field.
Preferred: Master's Degree Business Administration, Hospital Administration or a related field.
Work Experience
Required: 5 years in related field and/or demonstration of progressively responsible management experience.
May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
