Custodian
Power Design has an opportunity for a custodian to join our organization for the overnight shift. Hours will be 6 pm to 2 am. Responsibilities include cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming. Gathering and emptying trash. Servicing, cleaning, and supplying restrooms. Cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures. Dusting furniture, walls, and all vertical and horizontal surfaces. Notifying managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Restocking supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Requesting supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Performing general laborer work and miscellaneous tasks as needed and assigned by facilities manager or property manager.
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required. Good client/customer service skills are also necessary. Ability to read, write, and understand instructions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn. Two to three years of commercial verifiable cleaning experience is needed. Ability to stand or be on feet for a good portion of the shift. Ability to lift 50+ lbs on occasion. Ability to accommodate an overnight work schedule. Compensation: $18/hr
