STORMWATER PROGRAM INTERNS
The City of Martinsburg is now accepting applications for two (2) Stormwater Program Interns.
Summer intern positions will focus on the collection of GPS locations and condition information of stormwater infrastructure, digitizing and georeferencing existing engineer drawings of stormwater infrastructure, and the creation and/or maintenance of a geodatabase of all collected field data and documentation. This will include processing all collected data to the MS4 infrastructure map, creating a digital inventory and uploading to a network drive. Interns will also contribute to other duties and projects as assigned.
The summer intern positions are for a twelve (12) week period working approximately forty (40) hours per week with no benefits at a rate of $16.00 per hour. This is an ideal opportunity for upper division students with a major in environmental studies or related field. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be able to meet all physical requirements of this position.
A valid driver’s license is also required for the position and must be maintained during employment. Applicant must be able to meet all physical requirements of position, including ability to work outdoors, stand and walk on regular basis, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
