Artist Marketing Manager, Amazon Music Japan

Amazon, New York, NY, United States

Artist Marketing Manager, Amazon Music Japan
Amazon Music is seeking an experienced Artist Marketing Manager to join our Japan team. In this role, you will serve as the strategic marketing lead in partnership with Artist & Label Relations (AR/LR) managers. You will translate artist, label, and editorial strategies into integrated marketing campaigns — working across creative, media, and production teams to drive measurable impact on stream growth, media value, and customer growth.

Key Job Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Planning

Develop comprehensive marketing campaign strategies based on briefs from AR/LR managers, managing budgets efficiently to ensure optimal allocation across creative, production, and media.

Lead campaign planning sessions with internal partners and cross‑functional teams to align on objectives, creative direction, and success metrics.

Design and manage multiple concurrent campaigns across artist marketing and content marketing, driving measurable impact on stream growth, media value, and customer growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution

Partner with creative teams to develop compelling campaign concepts and content that resonate with target audiences, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.

Serve as the primary point of contact between AR/LR, Programming, and internal/external marketing support functions to optimize campaign reach across owned, earned, and paid channels.

Interface with product and analytics teams to leverage platform capabilities, track spending, and provide regular budget and performance updates to stakeholders.

Performance & Optimization

Define campaign KPIs and success metrics across stream growth, media value, and customer growth; monitor performance and provide actionable insights for optimization.

Conduct post-campaign analysis and stay current on music industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing channels.

A Day in the Life
On a typical day, you'll start by syncing with your AR/LR partner to align on an upcoming campaign brief — whether it's a new album launch or a seasonal editorial franchise. You'll spend time reviewing creative concepts with the creative team, providing feedback that balances the artist's vision with Amazon Music's brand and business goals. Mid‑day might involve a cross‑functional check‑in with media, product, and analytics teams to review campaign performance and adjust targeting or spend. You'll close the day drafting a post‑campaign report or preparing a planning deck for an upcoming pitch. No two days are the same — you'll be context‑switching between strategic planning and hands‑on execution, always with an eye on measurable impact.
