The Program Coordinator oversees the teaching of adaptive cycling, mountain biking, paddleboarding, kayaking, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and/or snowshoeing seasonally to children, adults, and veterans with adaptive needs.You will join a team committed to creating access and belonging in the local community. The team creates access and belonging through their passion for skiing, snowboarding, paddling, and more.**What You'll Do*** Collaborate with other WAS staff, instructors, and volunteers to ensure overall program success.* Schedule, prepare, and manage the execution of daily program operations, including instructors, participants, volunteers, and equipment transportation.* Oversee on-site risk management and safety procedures.* Coordinate daily program volunteer assistants and lead volunteer training.* Coordinate with scheduled groups and community partners to ensure the successful delivery of the program.* Perform equipment safety checks and minor equipment maintenance as needed.* Fit and adjust adaptive equipment for participants.* Teach program lessons according to WAS teaching progressions as needed.* Support instructors in participant assessment and lesson planning.* Track and evaluate participant and instructor goals and progressions.* Develop and lead program-specific training for instructors.* Cultivate and maintain relationships with program partners, resort employees, and community members.* Communicate respectfully and think critically to promote a positive program culture.* Pursue continued personal skill development.**What You'll need to Get the Job Done****Required*** 3-5 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.* Current UT driver’s license and clean driving record.* Must be at least 21 years of age.* First Aid/CPR/AED Certified or willing to obtain certification upon hire.* Safely drive a pickup truck and a 16 ft. trailer. Prior experience preferred or willingness to learn on the job.* Strong attention to detail.* Strong communication skills (oral and written).* Commitment to continuous improvement.* Practice effective team behavior and demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships.* Basic equipment maintenance skills in the program specialty.* Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work environment.* A passion for WAS’s mission and work.* Must have reliable transportation to and from work location.**Preferred*** PSIA, AASI, and/or BICP certification(s).* 1 year of experience teaching sports or recreation skills, preferably to people with adaptive needs.**Work Schedule*** Full-time, year-round, hourly position.* Consistent 40-hour weekly shift contingent on program schedule.
