About the Role
As a Group Home Program Counselor (DSP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.
Your responsibilities may include
Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
Supporting medical needs and appointments
Following individualized support and behavior plans
Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful—but not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.
Pay
$18.12 – $18.54 per hour
Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
