Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Position Summary:
The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is currently looking for a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our clinical leadership team. In this role, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to help lead day-to-day nursing operations, promote high standards of care, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations within our skilled nursing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical functions
Provide guidance, supervision, and support to nursing staff
Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality resident care
Monitor adherence to federal, state, and facility regulations and standards
Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement programs
Assist with infection prevention and control efforts
Support onboarding, education, and ongoing staff development
Audit clinical records and care plans for completeness and accuracy
Help prepare for state surveys and participate in corrective action planning
Respond to and resolve resident and family concerns in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Solid understanding of CMS guidelines and state regulations
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities
Flexibility to meet the needs of the facility
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary up to $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
