
Stores and Logistics Officer

As part of our Professional Services group, the Stores and Logistics Officer will manage the receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory tracking of goods, ensuring efficient supply chain operations and accurate record‑keeping. Key responsibilities include operating forklifts, using systems such as IFS, conducting stocktakes, and maintaining WHS compliance.
Further, the successful candidate will:
Receiving and dispatching: Unloading, inspecting incoming goods, verifying against purchase orders, and packing/dispatching shipments.
Inventory Control: Maintaining accurate stock levels, conducting inventory counts, and reconciling data in databases.
Storage Management: Organising warehouse space, safely handling materials (including chemicals/hazardous materials), and ensuring stock integrity.
Documentation: Preparing delivery reports, shipping documents, and managing invoices or courier bookings.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9‑day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
Current forklift licence is essential.
Previous experience in warehousing, inventory control or freight handling.
Ability to perform manual handling, including lifting and moving stock.
Understanding of Defence Logistics and Defence terminology is desirable but not essential.
Understanding of DEF(AUST)1000C – ADF Packaging Standard is desirable but not essential.
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline level or have the ability to gain one. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
