L3Harris is seeking a Associate Software Engineer to join the Mission Networks team that provides modern, secure, reliable and resilient telecommunications networks and information management systems. The Senior Associate Software Engineer will be part of the FTI Enterprise team supporting the FAA and contribute to applications and services across a wide array of technology including Java, JavaScript, C#, .NET, web applications/services and databases. The software team supports both internal and external customers by enhancing existing applications, tools and services and resolving operational issues. The Senior Associate Software Engineer will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of software products, and will work closely with cross‑functional members of the engineering organization to develop solutions to meet functional and non‑functional requirements.

Essential Functions:

Contribute to the design and development of computer software systems and software products for a variety of software applications.

Hands‑on development with high‑order languages (Java, C#/.NET), SQL and databases (Oracle), and thick‑rich clients and web applications.

Deploy and support enterprise applications in a 24x7 operational environment.

Ability to obtain an FAA Public Trust Clearance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

JavaScript, JQuery, XML, Web services (REST, SOAP) and/or similar technologies.

Scripting languages, such as Python and Bash.

Ability to write well‑designed, testable, efficient code and coach the team to do the same.

Experience verifying designs are compliant with specifications.
