ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team supporting the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex! This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Candidate MUST have an active DOE "Q" Clearance or an active DoD "Top Secret" clearance to be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create documentation and revise as appropriate.
Provide programming support for CAD/CAM, PLM, PDM, xBOM system integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Program in C, C++, C#, or Java.
Skills in scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Jelly, AngularJS, or equivalent).
Customize CAD/CAM/PLM/PDM software to fit specific organizational needs through scripting or programming.
Customize interfaces and functionalities to enhance user experience and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years experience or Associate's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Citizenship – To be considered, you MUST be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
Clearance – To be considered, you MUST have an active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance.
Must have experience with Java/C#, C++/Python/Database Developer.
Must have strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide API, Jelly, AngularJS, or equivalent).
Experience customizing CAD/CAM/PLM/PDM software to fit specific organizational needs through scripting or programming.
Experience with version control tools such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories.
Experience working with relational databases and proficient in SQL.
Experience customizing interfaces and functionalities to enhance user experience and efficiency.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
DESIRED SKILLS
Local candidates preferred - travel to site is non-reimbursable.
