Reporting to the Manager, Nutrien Financial Finance & Accounting, this position is responsible for budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting for the Nutrien Financial (“NF”) business segment. The role supports accurate and timely reporting of financial results for NF, along with ongoing data analysis and reporting for NF Leadership, Retail Leadership, Field Operations, Decision Support, and Treasury.
What You'll Do:
Assist the development, aggregation, and analysis of several critical planning and reporting processes, including but not limited to: Annual Budgeting; 5-Year Strategic Plan; Quarterly Forecast; Monthly financial reviews
Engage with the business to understand business drivers affecting financial performance
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve reporting and variance analysis on key focus areas of the business
Collaborate on the execution of new strategic initiatives for Nutrien Financial
Participate in various projects as requested
Develop and maintain field reporting
Produce specific, ad hoc, customized reports for both internal customers and senior management upon request
Maintain complex models in Power BI and Excel to support financial planning and reporting for Nutrien Financial
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting or finance
Desire to obtain a CPA/CFA or other relevant professional designation
2+ years of experience in financial analysis
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with evolving business needs and deadlines
Detail oriented with excellent ability to manage large amounts of data, including via Microsoft Excel and Power BI
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Self‑starter, able to handle multiple demands & competing priorities while engaging as a team player
Ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines and display a sense of urgency around month‑end deadlines
Ability to adapt to new processes and system solutions to best support our growing business segment
Excellent customer service skills
Mature attitude and ability to deal effectively in a team environment and exhibit strong business ethics
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral and listening)
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role in Deerfield, IL, is between $56,500 - $88,770. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
