The Opportunity
Join a multidisciplinary aerospace engineering team supporting complex Air and Space modernization efforts. As a senior aeronautical engineer, you will assess the performance, safety, and mission suitability of airborne systems, support engineering trade studies, develop analytical and modeling products, and collaborate with cross‑functional technical experts to deliver timely, high‑quality engineering insights. In this role, you will apply your engineering judgment to generate technically sound recommendations while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and Booz Allen’s internal requirements.
You will contribute to aircraft performance analysis, subsystem integration assessments, requirements development, and engineering review packages, enabling leadership to make informed programmatic and technical decisions. You will not perform inherently governmental functions and will stay within advisory, analytical, and technical support boundaries as outlined in federal policy.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience with aeronautical engineering, aircraft performance, or subsystem analysis
Experience with modeling tools, such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python‑based tools, CFD or aerodynamic modeling environments
Ability to produce clear, compliant engineering documentation
Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional engineering teams
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
Nice to Have
Experience supporting DoD aviation programs or modernization activities
Experience with digital engineering environments, model‑based systems engineering (MBSE), or airworthiness processes
Experience applying structured engineering trade study methodologies
Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering
Clearance
Applicants selected will be required to hold a TS/SCI clearance. Applicants must pass a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation
Salary range: $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). This is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
