Position
MFC is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for our Optical Components manufacturing center based out of Orlando, FL.
The position requires quality engineering experience with an emphasis on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing.
What You Will Be Doing
Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products.
Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment.
Evaluating product test results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
Leading and/or participating on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.
Participating as an active member of Material Review Boards.
Developing and implementing new inspection processes and automation methods.
Ensuring effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
Performing special process assessments and audit procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, ISO-9001 / AS9100 industry standards.
Interfacing with customers, program personnel on quality related issues.
Making the final decision on acceptability of product.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or equivalent combined experience/education.
Candidate must be able to obtain and hold a Secret security clearance.
GD&T Experience.
SAP Experience.
APRISO Experience.
Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).
Demonstrated Presentation skills.
Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102.
Desired Skills
Manufacturing Environment Experience.
Green or Black Belt Certification.
AS9102 interpretation and application experience.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
First Article Inspection experience.
Optics Experience.
