We are seeking Experienced or Senior Structural Design Engineers to develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. These positions are located in the St. Louis region and support current and emerging aircraft programs as part of the Air Dominance division in Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS). Positions will be located at one of the listed locations: Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; St. Louis, MO; St. Charles, MO; Mascoutah, IL.
Responsibilities

Level 3

Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design
Develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
Perform, integrate analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort
Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Work under general direction
Level 4

Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
Assist with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Work under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
Level 3: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Level 4: 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Experience using NX / Teamcenter and familiarity with reading 2-D drawings
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)

Structural Design experience on military or commercial aircraft
Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company\'s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Shift

This position is for 1st and 2nd shift; however, variable shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) may be required to support program objectives. It may be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Summary Pay Range

Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300
Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
