Accountant/Examiner Supervisor 2
Division of Unclaimed Funds, Ohio Department of Commerce. The mission is to promote prosperity by protecting Ohioans and ensuring compliance through proactive outreach, education, and customer‑focused service.
Location: Riffe Tower, 77 South High Street Concourse, Columbus, Ohio 43215. Salary: $35.68 – $50.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
Supervise a team of claim examiners.
Participate in hiring and training of claim examiners.
Manage workflow and update claims policy and procedures.
Report team and individual performance to senior management.
Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting; 18 months training or experience in supervisory principles/techniques; 24 months experience in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity with experience commensurate with duties to be assigned.
Or undergraduate core coursework in business administration, economics or computer science; 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting; 24 months experience in a position involving accounting, billings, collections, payments or reimbursements with experience commensurate with duties; 18 months training or experience in supervisory principles/techniques.
Or 6 months as Accountant/Examiner Supervisor 1, 66115 with state government experience commensurate with duties to be assigned.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
