AlpInvest operates through three closely integrated investment teams: (i) Primary Investments commits capital to new private equity funds, (ii) Co-Investments invests directly in private equity companies alongside our relationship private equity managers, and (iii) Secondary & Portfolio Finance provides various liquidity solutions through a broad range of transactions throughout the capital structure.
Position Summary
You will be in close contact with all teams within the organization, providing you with exceptional exposure to all aspects of the private equity business: from fundraising and investor onboarding to the investment process and portfolio analysis. You will set up and update in-depth analyses of the firm’s portfolios, together with team members from the Amsterdam and New York offices. This involves dealing with large sets of data to create, manage, analyze, report and explain investment or portfolio information. In addition, the role includes focus on increasing the scalability of current systems and tools to accommodate the rapid growth of AlpInvest’s investor and product base.
Responsibilities
Analyze the portfolio and its performance for the investment teams or investors
Prepare track record materials and support fundraising efforts, generally focused on performance, exposure modeling and product development
Prepare and automate monthly, quarterly and yearly portfolio reporting to the investors
Design and implement new performance analysis methods and reporting tools, and improve business processes to scale operations for rapidly increasing client base

Professional Experience
2-4 years of relevant experience required
Strong analytical capabilities, Excel and database skills
Familiarity with programming is preferred
Team player within an international environment
Can challenge constructively while developing strong relationshipsPro‑active, structured, committed, with an ability to also think ‘outside the box’
The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $120,000.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
