General Summary
The DPS Security Property Officer is responsible for all departments’ evidence, found property, logging and returning to owner or authorities. This position is also responsible to enforce rules and regulations in accordance with set policy and procedures and along with local, state, and federal laws.

Four Diamond Service Agreement
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

Key Responsibilities

Keeps accurate records.

Organizes and maintains all evidence according to DPS policy and procedures and case needs.

Writes reports and uses investigative ability for special assignments as needed.

Organizes and stores all lost and found property.

Properly disposes all lost and found property according to DPS policy and procedures.

Properly disposes all evidence according to DPS policy and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Accountability
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

Education/Experience/Training
A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training is required. 1 to 2 years’ experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required to successfully perform the duties of the job.

Communication Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.

Skills / Abilities

Knowledge of computers with the ability to learn and operate property database.

Knowledge or the ability to learn the rules of evidence rules and its collection.

Ability to type 35-40 wpm.

Must be able to speak clearly on a radio.

Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Must be capable of interacting with the general public in a highly professional manner.

Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Confidential player development plans, details, and amenity criteria.

Computer literate in the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.

Must have a pleasant personality and present a professional image when assisting players.

Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.

Must possess excellent phone guest service skills.
