Park & Recreation Administrative Aide Position Overview:
This is administrative support for the City of Huntsville's Park and Recreation Department. Work involves providing administrative secretarial support to assist the Parks and Recreation Department and its approximate 200 employees of recurring administrative details, thereby assuring a smooth-running department. Maintains calendar of events including interviews, training, meetings, hearings, and related functions. Assists Director in Recreation program Coordinator's absence.
Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:
High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency and considerable experience performing advanced administrative assistance supplemented by course work in computers and word processing and accounting or bookkeeping. Valid Driver's License. State of Alabama Notary is required.
