Job Description:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred), Associate’s degree in a STEM field (Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology preferred) with 1+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Responsibilities:
Assembling new devices, test fixtures, and experimental laboratory setups.
Executing laboratory tests and standardized test methods and accurately recording data.
Recognizing abnormal test or equipment behavior, troubleshooting minor issues, and escalating concerns when necessary.
Performing preventive maintenance on laboratory puff machines (weekly, monthly, semi-annual).
Conducting laboratory equipment calibrations per established schedules.
Maintaining and operating 3D printers, including routine upkeep and basic troubleshooting.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.
Following all safety procedures when working with chemicals, tools, and powered equipment.
Top Skills for an ideal candidate:
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude using hand tools and electrical/mechanical test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and/or electrical schematics.
