Part‑Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Lodi, CA (Weekend Preference)
Lodi Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehab team. In this role, you will support high‑quality speech therapy services across a Skilled Nursing setting, helping residents regain function, independence, and confidence in daily life.

Position Summary
Facilitates the treatment of speech and language disorders following an assessment process that evaluates patient histories and identifies the causes for speech defects, devising effective therapy plans in association with other healthcare professionals, tracking patient progress, maintaining comprehensive treatment records, and adjusting treatment plans as needed in accordance with all company policies and local, state and federal laws.
Qualifications
Current or pending state license in Speech and Language Pathology
CPR/BLS certifications
Outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to lead by example and remain calm and professional in all work‑related situations
Responsibilities
Compassionately assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders
Continually review treatment results and adjust treatment programs to ensure optimal results for patients/residents
Organize, update and concisely document patient charts, daily progress notes, summaries, monthly reports and other required paperwork as needed
Support and instruct patient/family in techniques, adapting behaviors for better communication outcomes
Follow all facility safety and other policies, keeping updated on regulations governing the industry and profession
Participate in inter‑departmental meetings and facility operations
Communicate patient status and needs to those involved with care while maintaining confidentiality when required in accordance with HIPAA
Develop plans and provide treatments consistent with benefit and reimbursement levels for best functional outcome following physician orders
Educate staff, other health care professionals and third‑party payers on the benefits and functional outcomes of therapy interventions
Provide in‑service trainings or other educational presentations to company as needed – updating policies and procedures as they relate to the department
Communicate with assistants and rehabilitation technicians, providing clear directives concerning patients and their treatment plans prior to initiation of patient care
Collaborate with Program Specialists and department leaders to develop and implement new programs and techniques to enhance program utilization
Submit billing, payroll, and expense documentation in a timely manner
