Job Description
CT Technologist (CT Tech) performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position uses ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to perform high quality scans.

Qualifications
Work Experience
1-2 years CT Experience (Preferred)
1-2 years Experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
Demonstrates proficiency in operating CT equipment with a strong understanding of CT imaging techniques and protocols.
Demonstrates knowledge of protocols relating to contrast administration, including contrast injector operation as applicable.
Proficiency with electronic imaging: viewing, transferring and manipulating images.
Recognizes emergent patient situations and can respond appropriately.
Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other caregivers and patients.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days, Required
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) upon hire, Required
Certified Computed Tomography Technologist – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R)(CT), Preferred
Licensure in state of practice as applicable, upon hire, Required
IV Competency within 90 Days, Required
For caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification, Preferred
Physical Requirements
Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication and attention to alarms and needs, especially during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment with precision; includes frequent computer use and typing.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients; bending, lifting, carrying supplies and equipment of varying weights, up to heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distributing supplies and equipment; pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, navigating crowded rooms.
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle requiring sight, reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
