Position Summary
We are seeking a responsible and attentive Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests in and around the pool area. This individual will monitor aquatic activities, enforce safety rules, and respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations while providing a positive and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all swimmers
* Enforce all pool rules and regulations in a professional and courteous manner
* Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid, CPR, or rescue assistance as needed
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool deck environment
* Conduct routine safety inspections of pool equipment and facilities
* Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with members and guests
* Complete incident reports accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications
* Current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or equivalent) required
* CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required
* Minimum of 1 year of lifeguarding experience preferred
* Valid driver's license required
* Strong observational and decision-making skills
* Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment & Requirements
* Ability to sit, stand, and remain alert for extended periods
* Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Ability to swim proficiently and perform physical rescue duties
Schedule
* Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
Compensation
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience
