
Part-time Laborer - Cemetery

Cemetery Maintenance Support
This position provides operational and maintenance support to the City's cemeteries; and provides responsive, courteous, and efficient customer service in support of departmental operations. Note: This is a part-time, 24 hours per week position.
Essential Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
Performs routine grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, weed whipping, grave repair, lawn repair, maintaining landscape, pruning trees and shrubs, and trash removal.
Assists with tree removal, branch clearing and chipper operations.
Assists with funeral preparations.
Mixes cement and installs burial markers.
Assists with installing headstones.
Assists with digging foundations.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications/Desirable Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
State of Michigan drivers license with acceptable driving record.
Basic proficiency with office computers and related software.
Previous experience with grounds maintenance or light equipment operation preferred.
