Mortgage Loan Processor- Full-Time - Louisville, KY OR Corbin, KY
Reporting to the Mortgage Lending Manager, this full-time, non-exempt hourly role assists members with their mortgage loan applications. The Mortgage Loan Processor will process mortgage loans such as 1st Mortgages and HELOCs, schedule loan closings, as well as make loan disbursements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Review residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards and policies, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
Types loan application forms. Submits mortgage loan application files for underwriting approval. Types closing documents as needed and forwards to appropriate person for closing.
Contacts specified companies to obtain title exam, survey, appraisal, and flood certification and inform underwriter of any discrepancies.
Calls employer to verify accuracy of information regarding current employment status.
Practice confidentiality where indicated in employee matters and credit union operations.
Cooperate and work together as a team with co-workers, maintain a neat work area and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Certifications
High School education or GED required.
Associates degree preferred.
3 to 5 years of similar or related experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
