Responsibilities
Prepare attractive and nutritious meals for students and district staff under limited supervision.
Maintain the highest possible standards of safety, efficiency, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, kitchen workspace, and serving line area.
Supervise and instruct kitchen personnel in safe, proper, and efficient use of equipment.
Prepare food according to plan menu with tested and uniform menu.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
Maintain accurate production records and complete reports in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
Experience in food preparation.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
Excellent math skills.
Ability to read and communicate in English.
Valid Arizona driver’s license required (some positions may require maintaining license).
Food Handler's Permit required.
Pass a background clearance and fingerprint check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Knowledge of School Lunch Program and Arizona Department of Education requirements for food service.
Knowledge of standardized district meals for age requirements.
Knowledge of health, sanitation, and safety requirements.
Regional travel required.
