As we continue to grow, the Company is seeking a motivated individual to fill an ASME Project Manager position.
Position Summary
Responsible for all aspects of stainless‑steel fabrication & repairs/alteration projects designed and built to the ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Div. 1. The ASME Project Engineer takes the lead in the design and development of the project from the quoting stage all the way thru equipment installation and start‑up.
Job Responsibilities
Respond to ASME‑BPVC requests for fabrication quotes. Generate quotes to secure purchase orders.
Create Sales Orders, OrderAcknowledgements, Jobs & shipments in ERP (M1), as needed.
Material procurement/purchasing as required for ASME projects: ferrules, couplings, sheet metal, plate, heads, tube, pipe, sanitary fittings, leveling feet, etc.
Create ASME fabrication packages, including, but not limited to travelers, weld Logs, ASME or ASME/PED fabrication drawings, weld maps, nameplate drawings, dye penetrant forms, drain certification forms, spray ball coverage certification forms, & surface finish certifications (Ra Maps).
ASME/PED Material Receipt for all pressure boundary material. Request updates as needed when documentation is NG or incomplete.
ASME & PED nameplates: Create design/layout as needed, stamping as required, rolling to match OD as needed.
Schedule management for ASME Inspections thru HSB ASME/PED AI.
Manage/attend to AI visits to the shop and for off‑site visits.
Create ASME Data reports for completed projects.
Scan & archive all ASME materials for completed projects, as required by the BPVC.
Create PED PMAs for each material type for every PED project.
Create PED Manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity for every PED project.
Create Certificates of Conformity for all AKBA projects.
Curate materials, per job/project, so they are in one location, labeled clearly, & available for fabrication.
Management of ASME/PED Master Project List: status of all open projects and priority list of projects currently in the shop.
Update ASME Welder Continuity Logs: 4 logs, each updated/maintained 3x a year.
Calibrate ASME pressure gauges (4 total) vs. master, every 6 months.
Annual Master Gauge for annual calibration.
Qualifications
Minimum B.S. in Engineering degree from an accredited university.
Experience with ASME BPVC and stainless‑steel fabrication, machining (GD&T) is a definite plus, but not a requirement.
Ability to multi‑task, managing a wide variety of priorities simultaneously.
Highly computer literate, with experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs and ERP.
Experienced with CAD software, ideally AutoCad and Inventor.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills are required along with a high level of attention to detail.
