About the Role
As a systems security and network security engineer, you will identify the tools, configurations, devices, and applications needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best security solutions for mission‑critical systems. You will develop and implement security solutions that safeguard these systems from cyber threats, ensuring they operate securely in contested environments.
What You'll Work On
Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
Leverage big‑data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
Qualifications
Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation.
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and DoD policy, including NIST and RMF.
Ability to interpret scan results and apply remediations.
Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or IT.
CompTIA Security+ certification.
Nice To Have
Experience with cybersecurity assessments of weapons and unmanned systems, including ACAS, Nessus, and STIG or SCAP.
Knowledge of unmanned systems communication protocols, including IP networking and RF links.
Ability to influence system‑of‑system architecture for cyber compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, CS, or a related technical field.
ISC² CISSP, CEH, and OSCP certifications.
Top Secret clearance (optional).
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The projected compensation range reflects typical salary for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
