Junior–Mid Level Designer

We are seeking a full-time Junior to Mid-Level Designer who is detail oriented, dependable, and eager to grow their skill set while gaining hands‑on experience in product development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and is excited by the opportunity to see their ideas come to life at major retailers.

The Designer will support the creation, development, and execution of home décor products and programs tailored to key retail partners, including Target and other designated accounts. Working closely with the design team and cross‑functional partners, this individual will assist in bringing trend‑forward, commercially viable products to life.

Reporting to the Principal Design Manager, this role offers valuable exposure to the full product lifecycle—from concept through production—making it an excellent opportunity for an early‑career designer to grow within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing product concepts and presentations aligned with retailer‑specific strategies and aesthetic direction

Support design work for Target and other assigned accounts, ensuring alignment with brand standards and customer expectations

Create and maintain design files including product CADs, presentations, and technical drawings/specifications with a high level of accuracy

Help to communicate technical product details including tolerances and manufacturing considerations

Help manage and track sample requests, ensuring timely follow‑up and organization

Review pre‑production samples alongside senior team members to ensure design intent and quality standards are met

Collaborate with internal teams and overseas factories to support product development and resolve issues as they arise

Maintain clear and consistent communication with manufacturing partners regarding timelines and updates

Research industry trends, materials, and competitive products to inform design decisions

Assist in translating trend direction into product concepts appropriate for a mass retail customer

Qualifications

1–4 years of relevant design experience (internships included) in product, home décor, or related field

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office

Experience with 3D modeling software such as Fusion 360 or SolidWorks

Basic understanding of materials, construction, and manufacturing processes is preferred

Strong aesthetic sensibility and interest in home décor and trend‑driven design

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Receptive to feedback with a growth oriented mindset

Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new tools, processes, and materials
