About:
Klima New York (KNY) – A member of the AIR Control Concepts family. The Technical Field Service Manager is responsible for managing, organizing and supporting all service projects for Klima New York (KNY). This position will support KNY customers by providing inspecting, testing, adjusting, balancing heating, cooling, and ventilating systems in commercial and industrial buildings. This position has a strong emphasis on technical support during startup, commissioning and troubleshooting of VRF systems.

Responsibilities
Strong operational understanding of commercial HVAC systems, particularly LG VRF systems.
Perform all technical duties related to startup, commissioning and troubleshooting VRF systems.
Ability to train customers and contractors on VRF system functions and operation.
Work independently with scheduling and daily activities and manage a team of field technicians.
Provide feedback to field technicians and customers as needed.
Communicate and collaborate with sales engineers, service and controls to ensure projects are completed as designed.
Monitor progress and verify readiness for startup scheduling (Power/ vacuum/ controls).
Coordinate startup activities including system readiness confirmation, startup scheduling, documentation, warranty validation, and LG Warranty submission.
Follow safety practices including MSDS, OSHA, tool safety, equipment safety and ladder safety guidelines.
Operate and maintain company vehicle in accordance with policies.
Perform standard preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment efficiently and without supervision.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, failed parts, etc., on all A/C equipment.
Read and interpret schematics and control circuits; solder/braze refrigerant lines and water lines as needed.
Complete required paperwork accurately and timely (work orders, startup reports, warranty reports, part orders).
Answer technical questions from service technicians.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Requirements
Valid HVAC training certificate from a recognized program or trade school.
5-7 years of commercial HVAC experience, with prior technical experience in LG VRF systems.
3-4 years of management experience overseeing HVAC field technicians.
Experience using a vacuum pump and micron gauge.
Experience using a refrigerant reclaim machine.
Universal EPA Certification required.
OSHA 10 preferred.
TWIC (or in process of obtaining) preferred.
Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Excellent customer service skills.
Available to perform scheduled on-call and overtime duties.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Periods of sitting while driving and occasionally at a desk or computer.
Frequent use of hands; ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required to access equipment.
Ability to communicate information clearly and exchange accurate information as needed.
Climbing, balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching, and crawling to reach equipment may be required.
May work in all weather conditions and be exposed to fumes, odors, dust, gases, etc.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read, write and interpret simple instructions and memos; ability to discuss system requirements and malfunctions.
Ability to perform basic math and interpret measurements and graphs.
