Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Management will be a key team member of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) supporting site projects across the Thousand Oaks Portfolio ensuring timely supply of products to patients and value to our shareholders through supporting ongoing operations, implementing improvements, and enabling growth. They will serve as a champion of Takeda’s Project Management Methodology, associated PMO processes and apply their project specific leadership and management skills to manage projects of different types, sizes, and complexity through the full life cycle of the project to ensure timely delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Execution:

Lead cross-functional teams, managing all project phases, including documentation, resources, costs, labor, purchases, scheduling, budget, risk, communications, EHS, and quality compliance. Ensure projects meet stated goals and timelines.

Portfolio and Strategy Support:

Contribute to project prioritization and participate in key strategic business portfolio processes to align funding with site objectives.

Risk and Conflict Management:

Proactively identify and resolve conflicts and barriers. Implement mitigation strategies for risks and issues. Responsible for making or escalating decisions regarding potential impacts to project success.

Stakeholder Management:

Clarify project requirements to meet stakeholder expectations. Effectively communicate project status and escalations with the project sponsor, senior management, and internal/external stakeholders. Adjust work plans as necessary.

Approximate Time Allocation:

The role is heavily focused on Project Management (60%). The remaining time is allocated to PMO Project/Governance Support (10%), Program Strategy Support (10%), and a combination of Training, Development, Administrative, Site Activities, and Flex/Other Duties As Assigned (20%).
