The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Sell and market 3M CBG brands (Scotch®, ScotchBlue™, Post-it®, Command™, Filtrete™, 3M Safety Products, Scotchbrite®, Scotchgard™, Bondo®, Meguiar’s®, Ace™, Futuro™, & Nexcare™) into new channels and markets.
Entrepreneurial thinking, new account prospecting, vetting, onboarding, activation, resulting in accelerated sales growth.
Coordinate new business development efforts with Sales Management, Portfolio Teams (APL’s, CDM’s), Shopper Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance, Business Analytics, and Supply Chain.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders both external and internal. Top down, bottom up, inside out approach.
Properly manage sales estimates, MDF, rebates, claims, travel budgets.
Interpret industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to define guidelines/methods to achieve sales targets.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre‑employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
Five (5) years of sales experience with account management responsibility in a retail, private, public, government or military environment.
Current, valid Driver’s License.

Retail knowledge and experience.

Experience in calling on national key accounts.
Experience working with and managing brokers.
Experience working with distributors and wholesalers.
Knowledge of how to work with the customer and dealer centric tools.
Expertise with Salesforce, Power BI, Salsify, Workday, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Demonstrated experience of effective negotiation skills and strategic planning.
Willingness to make the call. Relentless approach to developing new business for 3M.
Work location
This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
This position has the possibility for remote work for candidates located more than 50 miles from 3M Global Headquarters in St. Paul, MN. Employees located within a commutable distance to 3M Global Headquarters must work on‑site at least 4 days per week.
Travel may include up to 50% domestic or international.
Relocation may be authorized.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Compensation
Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $142,479 - $174,141, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
