Great aerospace client is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Engineer on a contract basis to lead the development and implementation of cutting‑edge strategies that improve energy performance, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact across a world‑class aerospace manufacturing facility. Job type: Contract
Salary: $42 – 47 per hour
Work hours: 8am to 4pm

Responsibilities
Support and optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS) to monitor and improve energy, water, and gas consumption
Identify and deliver measurable energy savings and efficiency gains through facility audits and building system improvements
Collect, analyze, and report sustainability metrics and KPIs including GHG emissions and energy intensity to leadership and stakeholders
Manage capital projects focused on energy conservation, renewable energy transition, and water management
Collaborate with facilities and maintenance teams on green building practices and site improvements
Ensure environmental regulatory compliance including working knowledge of NPDES and RCRA
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or environmental science
Must have Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience
Proven track record in sustaining facilities operations including identifying savings opportunities, implementing improvements, and tracking measurable results
Working knowledge of solar PV, retro‑commissioning, and waste‑to‑energy
Experience level: Experienced
Minimum 5 years of experience
Education: Bachelors
Preferred
LEED Certification
AutoCAD proficiency
