This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.The Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Department seeks qualified adjunct instructors to support instructional needs across a range of agriculture-related disciplines. This position involves teaching undergraduate courses in either an online or in-person format, depending on departmental needs. **Responsibilities*** Teach assigned course or courses in agriculture and related subject areas* Develop a comprehensive course syllabus for each section that aligns with departmental standards and institutional policies. Often prior teaching materials for courses are available.* Provide academic guidance through scheduled office hours or other contact methods and respond to student inquiries via email in a timely manner.* Design and administer exams, quizzes, and other assessments in coordination with department faculty.* Maintain accurate records and submit final grades by established deadlines.* Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success.**Minimum Qualifications*** Master’s degree or higher in Agriculture or a closely related field* Demonstrated expertise in an area of study (e.g., wildlife, range management, agronomy, animal science, agricultural business, environmental science, etc.)* Ability to teach effectively in either or both online and in-person learning environments.**Preferred Qualifications*** Prior teaching experience at the college or university level* Familiarity with learning management systems and online teaching tools* Strong communication and organizational skills**Institutional Expectations**
Candidates should demonstrate a collegial spirit and a willingness to contribute positively to the academic community.**Work Schedule*** Adjunct appointments are part-time and course-based.
