Valuation & Advisory Focus

Syracuse, NY (East Syracuse)
Compensation:
$110,000 – $140,000+ (flexible based on experience and long-term potential)
Overview
Our client, a well-established public accounting firm in the Syracuse area, is seeking a CPA with strong client-facing skills and leadership potential to step into a future partner / ownership track role.
This individual will have the opportunity to transition into ownership over time, inheriting client relationships and playing a key role in the firm’s long-term success. This is a high-level advisory role — not a transactional accounting position.
This Role Offers

Approximately 50/50 mix of tax/accounting and valuation/litigation work
Exposure to:
Business valuation
Litigation support (divorce, disputes, expert analysis)
Minimal focus on bookkeeping or payroll — primarily higher-level client advisory work
Firm will support and fund CVA certification
Responsibilities
Manage and advise clients on complex tax and financial matters
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Participate in and/or lead business valuation and litigation support engagements
Work directly with partners on client strategy and firm growth
Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
Gradually assume ownership of key client relationships
Qualifications
CPA required
5–12+ years of public accounting experience
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Ability to operate independently in a client-facing role
Interest in long-term growth, leadership, and ownership
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in business valuation
Experience in forensic accounting or litigation support
CVA designation or interest in pursuing (firm-supported)
Experience managing client relationships or leading engagements
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $110K – $140K+, depending on experience and potential
