Description: What You Will Be Doing
Will be responsible for researching, coordinating, designing and implementing tool engineering and designs for maintaining and enhancing AMMM and other programs needing assistance. This position supports suppliers and feeder plants. The engineer will monitor requests from suppliers both domestic and international through SPAR, SATR and REA submissions. The position will review, document, research and disposition requests to support as required. Travel to suppliers may be required to review issues and aid in resource and tooling-related activities. This role is necessary to properly staff the Tool Engineering team as a critical support organization. The engineer will be the Tool engineer for checking concepts and designs of team members and vendor support for AMMM. The role may also involve Tool Engineering projects for AMMM when needed per management.

Basic Qualifications
Experience with basic blueprint reading and mechanical engineering concepts (stress analysis, statics and strength of materials).
Experience with electronic drafting or design software.
Desired Skills
Previous hands-on mechanical experience and computer-aided design experience on any 3D drawing and analysis software package.
Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement concepts.
Exposure to vendor support and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Exposure to disposition tooling requests from vendors on tooling issues and ability to research and validate requests.
