
Security / Compliance Specialist

The Security/Compliance Specialist ensures that all IT systems and processes meet Department of Defense cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor cybersecurity policies and controls
Ensure compliance with
DFARS, NIST, RMF, and DoD security standards
Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
Monitor systems for security incidents and respond accordingly
Ensure proper handling of
PII and sensitive Government data
Maintain audit logs, compliance documentation, and reporting
Coordinate required training (Cyber Awareness, OPSEC, etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
5+ years of cybersecurity/compliance experience
Strong knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD IA requirements
Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM preferred
Experience in federal or DoD environments highly preferred
