
Electrical Designer

As an Electrical Designer, at Superior Industries, you'll play a key role in the design, development, and quality of our Electrical Panels. From concept to manufacturing, you will have the opportunity to contribute to all stages of the engineering process.
Design & Drafting
Develop comprehensive electrical control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical, including component placement, wiring paths, and labeling
Create detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for control panels
Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for panel components
Technical Analysis
Interpret project requirements, electrical specifications, and customer needs to design suitable control panels
Calculate power requirements, voltage drops, and circuit sizing for panel components
Select appropriate electrical components (relays, contractors, PLCs, HMIs)
Work closely with Electrical Engineers to integrate control systems, including PLC logic and HMI programming
Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure proper panel mounting and integration with machinery
Collaborate with panels builders to ensure design accuracy during assembly and wiring
Quality Control
Adhere to industry electrical safety standards and codes
Review designs for accuracy, compliance, and potential issues
Conduct design reviews and provide necessary documentation
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is $22.00 to $34.00 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

Qualifications
Associate's Degree or experience in electrical engineering technology or a related field
Experience in electrical design, preferably with a focus on industrial control panels
UL508A panel design experience preferred
Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, control circuits, and industrial automation principles
