Aftermarket Parts Material Planning Leader
JCB is in search of a candidate with a strong understanding of material requirement planning for aftermarket parts, with the ability to streamline processes, and strengthen the aftermarket supply chain. Additionally, as a team leader, they will monitor and report on key performance indicators such as delivery times and inventory levels to help improve efficiency. Success in this role means ensuring customers receive the parts they need quickly and reliably. The Aftermarket Parts Material Planning Leader reports to the Material Planning Manager.
Position Type: Full Time, Exempt
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
Manage MRP for assigned suppliers.
Maintain open communications and monitor performance of assigned suppliers
Release purchase orders based on consumption levels and demand to meet lead times and cover future requirements based on historical demand and forecast.
Manage assigned responsibilities and follow processes
Generate reports & reconcile invoice discrepancies.
Team Lead who can contribute to the overall goals of the team, specifically relating to reaching set targets of parts availability.
Create & maintain SOP's & workflow processes for all assigned responsibilities.
Monitor supplier performance for timely shipping and ability to supply quality parts and accuracy.
Liaise with other divisions to ensure resolution of any known supplier/material issues
Minimum Qualifications:
Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employment tests as applicable.
High school diploma
Two years of inventory control, material planning or purchasing experience in a service environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP
Effective time management and planning skills
Ability to prioritize and deliver results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP & Material Planning Standards
Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
Ability to sit for long periods and review data on computer screen.
Adept at problem solving and critical thinking.
A team player with the ability to build & maintain professional relationships
Basic accounting skills
Job Conditions:
Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
Subject to noise and temperature changes
