Role Overview
Looking for a senior Databricks expert to design, manage, and optimize enterprise data platforms. This role will own architecture, performance, governance, and cost optimization of the Databricks environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage Databricks architecture (Unity Catalog, clusters, pipelines)
Build and optimize data pipelines (DLT, Workflows, Spark/PySpark)
Handle platform governance, security, and access control
Monitor and optimize costs (DBU usage, cluster efficiency)
Automate workflows and support ML/AI capabilities (MLflow, AutoML)
Work with Linux systems, scripting (Bash/Python), and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Required Skills
7+ years in Data Engineering / Data Platform roles
4+ years hands-on Databricks xywuqvp experience
Strong PySpark/Python + SQL
Unix/Linux + scripting
Cloud platform experience
Experience with data governance, automation, and cost optimization
Nice to Have
Fivetran / Ab Initio
Airflow or similar tools
GenAI / ML exposure
