Production Control Clerk
The Production Control Clerk compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
Writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
Sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Three (3) years of relevant experience.
Experience with ULLS-A(e), ACN, and GCSS-Army
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust. ** US Citizenship is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Work typically in semi-office, hanger, and/or open surroundings.
May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail and are exposed to fumes or airborne particles and electrical shock hazards.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
