- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical and industrial controls projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project requirements
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses
- Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project costs
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Utilize industry-standard software to create comprehensive estimates
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project
- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure cost control measures are implemented
Qualifications:
Must own master-electrician license
Must have experience with industrial electrical estimating
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Experience with programmable logic controllers is required
Proficiency in reading xywuqvp and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications
Familiarity with contract documents such as NEC (New Engineering Contract)
Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
