Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Painter and play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of aircraft appearance and safety. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for preparing aircraft surfaces, applying high-quality paint finishes, and performing detailed touch-ups to maintain the aircraft's aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. Your expertise will contribute to the overall safety, durability, and visual excellence of our fleet. Duties:
* Prepare aircraft surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
* Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and custom paint schemes using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools
* Perform auto body repairs such as dent removal, filling, sanding, and buffing to restore aircraft surfaces to pristine condition
* Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed to maintain safety standards and visual clarity
* Use welding techniques for minor structural repairs or modifications when required
* Operate power tools safely for surface preparation, painting, buffing, and detailing tasks
* Maintain detailed records of work performed, including paint types used, repair procedures, and inspection notes
* Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks related to aircraft support equipment and perform heavy lifting safely during large component handling
* Ensure all work complies with aviation safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines
Skills:
* Proven dealership or auto body repair experience with a focus on auto painting and detailing techniques
* Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes
* Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, buffing machines, and auto glass repair equipment
* Experience with welding techniques for structural or cosmetic repairs on aircraft or vehicles
* Knowledge of auto estimating procedures for parts replacement or repair cost assessment
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision in detailed work
* Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary
* Familiarity with auto body repair standards applicable to aviation or automotive industries
