
Senior Vehicle AI Architect (f/m/x)

Role Overview
With our team of AI architects, AI engineers, and AI strategists, you will shape future system and hardware architecture, determine and drive software architecture with a strong focus on platforms, and design AI model architectures that interplay symbiotically.
Responsibilities
You design end-to-end AI and data architectures from data ingestion to model serving, using and extending platforms within our vehicles with a strong focus on edge computing.
You build architectures that cover diverse use cases (e.g., automated driving, digital cockpits) to deliver holistic customer experiences.
You provide architectural guardrails to business units and development teams, enabling competitive AI products on our AI platforms.
You drive the implementation of scalable AI software platforms, using the latest AI technologies and leveraging our in-house scalable software stacks.
You link platform and application development by defining interfaces and ensuring that new requirements are integrated directly into the AI and data platforms.
Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field, with over five years of experience in AI/data architecture. Experience in automotive E/E architecture and AI vehicle applications is a plus.
Strong experience with vehicle AI architectures and implementation of Small Language Models, Vision Language Models, or autonomous driving models.
Knowledge of multi-agent systems orchestration, multi-turn dialogues, and related open standards (e.g., A2A, MCP).
Experience with AI training toolchains and workflows including pruning, fine-tuning, and multimodal encoding.
Familiarity with open-source AI frameworks (LiteRT LM, ONNX GenAI, ExecuTorch, Llama-Stack) and comparison to proprietary frameworks. Skilled in Rust, C++, Kotlin, and API technologies.
A profound understanding of AI models executed on hardware accelerators, with a focus on low-level software on Neural Processing Units (NPUs).
Leadership experience in agile teams.
