What does a Senior Buyer do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Acts as a work and thought leader, providing guidance and training to junior buyers within non‑production department. Oversees non‑production sourcing activities for clients in areas such as IT, Sales & Marketing, and other functions as needed. Develops sourcing strategies, conducts major negotiations, and non‑routine activities for U.S. operations. Locates and develops suppliers that can meet current and future non‑production needs. Coordinates with other departments to solve supply problems.

Responsibilities
Create and release RFPs/RFQs following the 7‑step sourcing process and is able to train others on process.
Understands and is able to train what commodity/project should cost and negotiates to get suppliers to that ideal cost level not just budget level.
Considers the business’ strategy and priorities during sourcing not just cost targets.
Understands and tracks key market factors that impact commodity/project costs.
Source with the client’s needs in mind on time.
Stay current with market trends for assigned commodities.
Recommend technological/process opportunities to keep business ahead of competition and improve operations.
Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders related to supplier performance.
Maintain high level of integrity to ensure all suppliers treated fairly.
Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records about pricing history.
Validate that requested price changes are accurate and include all documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business, procurement, supply chain or related field required.
Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) CIPS Level 3 required.
6+ years procurement experience required.
Experience sourcing in non‑production commodities.
Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
SAP Ariba.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Strong executive presence when presenting.
