Principal Account Executive

The Lead Account Executive provides essential operational support for business partners. This includes project managing partner and product onboarding, as well as training partners on proprietary tools and systems. The individual in this role will lead operational projects focused on implementing new products, releases, and solutions, while also resolving escalated customer issues. Furthermore, the role is responsible for managing operational relationships with complex and large partners, actively managing risk, and escalating any customer‑impacting issues to management within day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic department projects while supporting broader company initiatives

Identify departmental improvements and provide guidance on client‑impacting issues, focusing on holistic solutions across multiple clients

Coach and mentor peers

Coordinate and facilitate training for both new and existing Account Executives

Manage unique, complex partners of strategic importance to the network

Serve as a subject‑matter expert on authorization and settlement applications, as well as other internal systems and tools.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

At least 6 years of payments industry experience within financial services

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering

8+ years of payments industry experience within financial services

Experience influencing key stakeholders, executive‑level clients or internal business partners

Compensation
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Principal Account Executive
Houston, TX: $138,100 - $157,700 for Principal Account Executive
Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Principal Account Executive

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
