
Kitting Planner (MRP II) - Level 2

Description
Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Level 2 Kitting Planner (Material Requirements Planner) based in Courtland, Alabama to support the tactical and strategic needs of a fast‑paced, highly technical build cycle. This role involves making part planning for all parts in assigned MRP codes within a SAP‑based environment.
Responsibilities
Release, monitor, and close production orders.
Handle SAP transactions related to the new production kitting strategy for space within a flow center capacity.
Kit contracted material in a production environment and facilitate kit creation and delivery.
Create and manage material master data.
Review manufacturing bills of material.
Monitor and record material usage.
Monitor and control exception messages.
Provide high‑level status of all WIP and related consumable demand.
Conduct floor stock availability and expiration date audits.
Basic Qualifications
1–2 years of supply chain or shop floor support experience in a technical manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, farm implement).
Experience working in an ERP/MRP environment (SAP, Oracle).
U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills
Bachelor’s degree.
3+ years of supply chain or shop floor support experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
Experience in SAP and manufacturing in a development environment.
Experience manufacturing defense products.
APICS/ASCM certification(s).
Experience with a Quality Management System (AS or ISO).
Green Belt certification.
