As our Shelter Veterinarian, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every animal in our care receives high-quality medical treatment and compassionate attention. From performing life-changing spay
euter surgeries to guiding treatment plans and supporting staff, your work will directly improve animal health, wellbeing, and adoptability.

What You’ll Do

Provide comprehensive medical care, diagnosis, and treatment for shelter animals

Perform spay
euter and other soft-tissue surgeries

Support vaccination clinics and diagnostic testing (x-ray, blood work, cytology)

Collaborate cross-departmentally to support animal health and welfare decisions

Supervise and mentor Veterinary Assistants

Participate in humane euthanasia decisions in accordance with policy and law

Maintain accurate medical records and compliance standards

Qualifications

DVM or equivalent veterinary degree

Eligible for California veterinary license + DEA license

2–3 years of private practice or shelter medicine experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $160,763 – $178,620 annually - $7500 Hiring Bonus
